list of young leaders who can participate in state, regional and
national activities, such as speaking at conferences, joining policy
groups, mentoring, serving on advisory boards and committees, and
providing technical assistance to organizations and agencies. If
you or your agency is interested in having a youth leader participate
in these important activities, we will connect NYLN members to
opportunities that relate to their experiences and interests. Youth

How NYLN Resource Consultants will be selected and matched to opportunities The Executive Committee will review requests for youth leaders to be involved in activities and match them with youth that have related experiences and interests. The Executive Committee wants to involve as many qualified members as possible so we can spread the opportunities around. NYLN staff will contact the youth leaders who are selected for activities to explain the opportunity and to find out if they are interested and available. NYLN staff will help them connect with the organization or agency that wants their involvement. The YLC is forming a Consultant Committee that will monitor the activities of NYLN Resource Consultants and provide mentorship. NYLN Policy on Payment for Resource Consultants National Youth Leadership Network (NYLN) leaders contribute valuable knowledge and skill to their communities, state and the nation. As such, the NYLN expects that all young leaders will be paid for their activities and have their expenses reimbursed at the same level as all other participants. Recognizing that young leaders may have limited income, the NYLN also expects agencies and organizations that are inviting NYLN members to participate will provide cash advances to cover their expenses, if requested. |
