Are you a young person with a disability looking for opportunity to get active in the disability community? A parent not sure what to do? Do you want resources from all over the country? We can help! This is the best time to get involved in NYLN. We are starting lots of new projects just for you! And we want you to be the first to know about them.
There are many ways to be involved in NYLN. Youth with disabilities can serve on our Governing Board or our Committees. We also work with parents, providers and disability community allies to create a better world for youth with disabilities. Allies can be NYLN members and attend a lot of our events.
NYLN can also come to visit you and your youth groups/organization to do trainings around youth power in your communities.
The first way to get involved is to become a member. It is free to become a member of NYLN. If you want to become a member, fill out a membership form below. Membership is open to youth with disabilities and adult allies (parents, providers, advocates,others).
Members of NYLN receive:
Bi-monthly e-mail updates of opportunities for young people around the country;
Invitations to participate on national teleconfereces/webcasts;
Links to training materials and resources created by young people, for young people;
Information about other opportunities through the Network.
