Will captioning be provided for this event, and if so, how do I request it? There’s no space on the form regarding accommodations.
Hi Codeman!
Yes- when we send out the call-in information right before the call, we give information for folks to join via phone or web. For people who chose to join via web, it is captioned by a CART provider.

OK, thanks; I’ll likely be joining via web. I’m just surprised this info wasn’t included in the initial announcement.
Thank you, how long will this last?

Maybe to late to get in?
I have been looking for a site that will allow me to communicate with others who have beliefs that are similar to mine, and who may have had similar experiences. I am a person with a disability myself. I have also worked as a professional. However, I have found that the employers who have the better paying jobs with benefits in my field appear to wish to avoid hiring someone with a disability.
I didn’t have this problem when I could hide the disability. However, once it began to show, I never got another good assignment. Incidentally, the work I did was affected by attrition. I would have to interview at the beginning of each fall. The year I had to walk in with that boot the Dr. had put on my foot, that Principal didn’t even look at my face during the whole interview. He just stared intently at that boot with this horrible scowl on his face. Now, I am reduced to working in the private sector. The employer is very politically correct though.
I could use some connections to help me become more active at least with some high level volunteer work. I have 3 Masters Degrees that are being wasted because of the prejudiced folks I have had the good fortune to encounter in my not too distance past.
