The National Youth Leadership Network is excited to announce the Reap What You Sow: Harvesting Support Systems Institute. This event is for young people, parents, siblings, friends, allies, teachers, community support providers, and more. It will take place July 29-31, 2010 in Raleigh North Carolina. This conference will be taking place at the North Raleigh Hilton.
The Institute centers on a curriculum [a set of learning activities] that a team of young people with disabilities created. The curriculum is called Reap What You Sow: Harvesting Support Systems. (See: About the Reap What You Sow: Harvesting Support Systems curriculum.)
The Institute is for people who want to learn about the curriculum and those who may be interested in teaching it in their communities. The Institute will include workshops and activities. People attending the Institute will also learn about ways to engage youth and family members in their communities.
